REAL TALK for Next Gen (K-12) offers tailored 6-week curricula for children and teens (ages 5-18). Each curriculum equips leaders to guide age-appropriate, Bible-centered lessons, fostering a strong sense of God-given identity and purpose in students. Additionally, it empowers them to recognize and respond to unsafe situations, trust their intuition and discernment, identify safe adults, healthy relationships, be equipped with language and sentence stems, and more. These interactive sessions tackle challenging topics head-on, providing a safe environment for authentic conversations and preventing harmful patterns from taking root. With a blend of scenario-based learning and activities, REAL TALK builds a safer community for ministries and ensures both students and leaders benefit and grow.

The "Why" behind REAL TALK:
After decades of ministry and clinical experience, we've come to understand that toxic issues shown outwardly are often a symptom of something deeper. To truly address the problem, we must intervene at its roots. Long-lasting effects of trauma often stem from a culture of secrecy, shame, and addiction (yes, even in ministries!), which perpetuate the cycle by grooming men and women to live below their purpose and identity, and groom children to live in the same brokenness, generation after generation.

REAL TALK is founded on the principle of addressing these underlying issues proactively. It goes beyond merely tackling sexual traumas; it aims to address the core factors of secrecy, shame, and life-controlling issues that manifest later in life. REAL TALK serves as both a preventive and healing measure, empowering believers to embrace their God-given purpose fully. Additionally, it serves as a safeguard for ministries and leaders, mitigating the risk of scandals and backlash in the future. This unique pathway was created to not only help individuals become free... but free indeed!

The average person keeps approximately 13 secrets at a time, five of which they have never told another soul.

The most common secrets include sexual behaviors and lies. (Columbia University, 2017)

Allan graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1972 with a degree in Honors Chemistry. He then received a Master’s + Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering at the Univ. of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1977. During this time, he fully committed his life to Christ, and upon completing the doctorate, followed the Lord’s leading to enter full-time Christian ministry with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ.) Allan was trained at Central Connecticut State Univ. in New Britain, CT., from 1977-1979 while working on his M.A.B.S. He has then asked to become the director at M.I.T. in Boston, which witnessed explosive growth, serving there from 1979 – 1986, during which time he was also ordained. Upon moving to Cru’s HQ in San Bernardino, in 1988, he was asked to create and launch Cru’s first large-scale catalytic campus ministry (named Student LINC). The strategy and its various iterations over the past 30 years have been responsible in varying degrees for the creation of more than 10,000 catalytic evangelistic and discipleship movements worldwide.  And it was during this period that the first major partnerships with other campus ministries (IVCF, the Navs, and FCA) were formed. It was also during this time he received his M.B.A. from CA. State Univ. San Bernardino in Marketing, Management, and Promotional Communications. Together, several Cru affiliated ministries have exposed well over 3.5 Billion individuals to clear Gospel presentations in 2,100 languages with over 330 Million indicated decisions for Christ. Allan’s heart is to see increasing numbers of members in the Body of Christ actively seek fruitful collaborative work and partnerships on local, state, and national levels to help fulfill the Great Commission. He often encourages ministry leadership to add a catalytic arm to their ministry efforts. Using ideation, outpacing innovative ministry design, and pragmatic futurism has enabled him to increase many groups’ EROI.
